Mary Reichert is among the best sharpshooters in the united states, and in the Brookstone Wild Western Extravaganza her skills are in display in every performance. But unless the man in charge of her brother’s death is taken to justice, Mary’s fame and accomplishments appear hollow. She feels helpless in the face of the murderer’s money, power, and contacts. The only shiny spot in her days is the good looking journalist who retains attending their displays. Christopher Williams continues to be assigned to follow the Brookstone display on its 1901 tour of Britain and write a series of articles for his mag. As he gets to know the cast he quickly finds himself irresistibly drawn to the show’s sharpshooter. But getting close to somebody would threaten to bring his previous to light.
